Exciting News! Meet our Head Pro, Emma (Ruoyi) Li! 🏅 At just 20 years old, Emma is already ranked among the Top 10 female pickleball players in Canada. She’s a 6-time provincial champion and the 2024 National Women’s Doubles Champion.

Emma has organized over 30 tournaments and coached countless athletes, earning a reputation for excellence both on and off the court. With her power, passion, and podium energy, she’s a true force in the sport.

In addition to leading as Head Pro, Emma will also serve as our Director of Events, Planning, and Community Relations. She is also launching an exciting new pickleball brand, Legend Pickleball, in partnership with our club, aiming to grow the game and community in a fresh, dynamic and professional way.

Exciting News! Meet our Head Coach, Haiduo Li!

Haiduo is a 4.5+ player and one of Canada’s most experienced and respected pickleball coaches.  Over the past 4+ years, Haiduo has coached pickleball full-time, training over 1,500 students and running

30+ tournaments. He’s known for having a keen eye for spotting technical

issues, helping players of all levels (0.0-5.5) reach podium finishes.

He is candid, strict and passionate! You won’t walk out of his class without learning a new technique or fixing a problem.

It all started with a set of 4 paddles, a few balls, and a couple of summers of chasing open courts around West Island and Vaudreuil. We played until the lights shut off, got eaten alive by mosquitoes, and nearly passed out in the heat — but we couldn’t get enough of the game.

In late fall after getting rained on while playing the big question hit:

Should we open our own indoor pickleball facility? And honestly, the answer came fast — yessir.

What started as a simple idea quickly turned into months of research, travel, planning, setbacks, and serious hustle. Early mornings, late nights, a lot of “figure-it-out-as-we-go,” and a ton of passion led to what is now MTL Pickleball — a 30,000 sq. ft. indoor facility with 11 tournament-size courts in Kirkland, that’s open year-round for anyone who loves the game or wants to learn it.

From day one, our mission has been simple: Build a home for pickleball in Montreal. A place where anyone — from first-time players to seasoned competitors — feels welcome. A place that fuels healthy, active living, and community vibes. A place that’s fun.

We’re proud to have Emma Li, one of Canada’s top players, as part of our team – coaching, leading events, and helping us grow the sport we love.

Our facility is fully air-conditioned and designed for comfort and performance. It features 11 tournament-sized courts, a pro shop, changing rooms and washrooms, lockers, a water fountain, a vending machine, and a spacious multi-purpose event room. We’ve installed a top-quality roll-out surface made specifically for pickleball, delivering a consistent bounce similar to a tennis court — ideal for both competitive and recreational play. To enhance the playing experience, we use removable curtain-style dividers between courts.

These help reduce distractions and prevent balls from crossing into other games. Concerned about visibility? No worries — the dividers can be taken down, and we’ve placed high chairs courtside so you can comfortably watch the action.
